Stalam has developed specific RF equipment for vulcanizing natural latex and SBR foam for pillow and washed sheet. 

The traditional Dunlop vulcanization process uses steam as a heating means to activate the crosslinking reaction of polymer. Foam contains a lot of tiny bubbles inside, which is essentially a poor heat conductor, so it is a slow and inefficient process to let heat penetrate into the thick pillow / mattress. In order to speed up this process, expensive and heavy metal mold with a large number of metal pins have to be used, but it is still very time-consuming and energy consuming. Radio frequency can be immediately absorbed by a large amount of water contained in the foam and evenly distributed throughout the foam. Therefore, the heating and complete vulcanization of foam only takes a few minutes, whether in the center or on the surface. 


Therefore, comparing with the traditional annular production line using steam with the same capacity, the RF vulcanization equipment is much smaller (shorter) and can reduce the energy consumption by about 50%. 


The mold is made of light and cheap composite material, and its weight is reduced by more than 60% comparing with the traditional metal mold. In addition, the mold material developed by Stalam in cooperation with professional suppliers can easily and quickly peel vulcanized products. Finally, the mold design is more flexible, not restricted by the pin. 

Stalam also provides vulcanization and drying equipment for 3 to 10 cm or even thicker washed sheets, which is shorter and more efficient than traditional production lines, and the product quality is better.
